Seven Organic Skin Care Tips for Fall and Winter
Fall and winter exact the harshest seasonal treatment on our skin. The skin needs extra care during these seasons to keep it moisturized. Keep your skin radiant and healthy through the holiday season and right on into the New Year by following these fall and winter organic skin care tips.
1. Drink Plenty of Water
Help your skin stay hydrated by drinking lots of water. When you go outside your home, it is advisable to bring a bottle of water, juice, or tea. Hot herbal tea can work miracles when it’s cold. Drinking these can help your skin maintain a healthy glow even during the coldest winter’s day.
2. Exfoliate Dead Skin Cells Away
Remove dead skin cells with a body or facial scrub to keep your skin feeling fresh. Expensive products aren’t necessary. Use a recipe that uses items you can find in your own kitchen to create an exfoliant.
3. Use Organic Products to Moisturize
After exfoliating your skin, you need to moisturize it. Organic skin moisturizers containing all natural ingredients are available. Free of harsh chemical preservatives, these organic products help protect rather than harm your skin.
4. Always Apply Sunscreen
Just because summer is over doesn’t mean that you should not apply sunscreen when going out. Apply a sunscreen with a minimum SPF of 15. Organic sunscreens are available. Lips chap easily in the fall and winter. This is not just because of the cold – our use of indoor heaters during cold weather is one cause of chapped lips. Help stave off chapping by using an organic lip balm.. Keep the balm handy by carrying one in your pocket or purse. After all, you can never be sure when you’ll need one.
