Health Advantages of Exercising on Trampolines
Do you want to exercise at home? Well, you can always refer to instructional fitness videos, but this is [quite|somewhat} dull. You want to inject a great deal of fun in your fitness routine. Then why not try trampolining? Trampolines are now fast becoming more than children’s In fact, a lot of athletes, sports enthusiasts, and fitness instructors now consider them as crucial exercise equipment. There are now different special exercise programs that utilize trampolines. These programs have various objectives—Weight Loss, enhancement of cardiovascular performance, strength building, and others.
What makes trampolining a great fitness regimen? Well, it all starts when you bounce. As you reach the apogee (the highest point) of your jump, every cell in your body is suspended in weightlessness for a fraction of a second. Then as you land back on the bounce mat, each cell is subjected to a pressure of four times the normal gravitational force. That means you are in fact lifting and resisting four times your standard weight. Compare that to lifting dumbbells where you typically lift only about half or two-thirds of your body weight.
Trampolining also improves bone density. That is the reason part of the rigorous training programs that astronauts do includes trampolining. In the null-gravity environment of space, bones become less dense and get weaker after just a week or two. Conversely, bones become denser in an environment or situation where gravitational pull is stronger, such as landing on a trampoline. So astronauts jump extensively on trampolines many times before their launching to space to build up their bones. You should also do the same. Trampolining is also recommended if you are suffering from osteoporosis, but consult your doctor and your fitness trainer first so that you can secure the right exercise program.
A trampoline also improves your muscles. Just think: your entire body generates 5,000 impulses, stresses, and muscle contractions per hour. Every time you jump on a trampoline, your cells tend to collapse upon impact. To prevent themselves from collapsing, your cells strive hard to resist the force. This resistance improves your body’s cellular strength. As you jump on the trampoline each day, your cells become stronger, being able to sustain heavier impacts. Best of all, cellular strength is not just for your muscles. Every cell in your organs will benefit too.
